The GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® Method
始創者Juliu Horvath原是羅馬尼亞芭蕾舞者。Juliu因為長年的舞蹈表演,導致身體勞損受傷,提早中斷舞蹈生涯。為了幫助自己復原,他悟出一套融合了舞蹈、瑜珈、太極與游泳動作的療癒身心方法,也就是GYROKINESIS® 及GYROTONIC® 。GYROKINESIS® 及GYROTONIC® methods 是一套透過開啟能量循環、刺激神經系統、增進關節靈活動度,來創造功能性肌力訓練。
The GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® Method were created by Romanian-born Hungarian Juliu Horvath, a professional Ballerina. He suffered a series of debilitating injuries during his dance career, and began developing what are now known as GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® methods as a way to heal himself and regain his strength and agility. The two methods are complementary exercise methods that fall under one umbrella, the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® Method. Both GYROKINESIS® and GYROTONIC® exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements, which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions with corresponding breathing patterns.
GYROKINESIS® Method
墊上嬋柔®
GYRO是旋轉的意思;而-kinesis意思是運動。GYROKINESIS® method 又稱為「脊椎螺旋運動」或「多面向脊椎運動」,也曾被稱為「Yoga for dancer(舞者的瑜珈)」。GYROKINESIS® 方法是一種針對整個身體的運動方法,打開能量通路,刺激神經系統,增加運動範圍並通過有節奏的流動運動序列來創造功能強度。這是一種協調運動、呼吸和精神焦點的獨創和獨特的方法。
GYROKINESIS® 方法是在沒有設備的情況下在墊子和椅子上練習的。在沒有設備的反饋和指導的情況下,GYROKINESIS® 課程的參與者更依賴於自己的本體感受來探索。
GYROKINESIS® method 主要分為椅上及墊上動作,無論是站著或坐著,都強調「拉長」(elongate) 身體,減少壓迫脊椎(compression);而且強調動作的流暢和連續性,身體就像流水般活動,利用呼吸去帶動身體,身體又帶動呼吸,互相配合,充分感受身體自然律動。
嬋柔練習跟跳舞一樣,需要跟上一定的節奏與速度,挑戰心肺耐力與動作控制精準度。嬋柔動作看上去很輕巧,但整套運動包含很多的元素,所以說嬋柔外柔內剛,是最優雅的運動之一。
GYROTONIC® Method
嬋柔方式® (器械)
嬋柔是一個原創且獨特的動作系統,強調人的全面性,打開精氣的連貫性,刺激神經系統,增加活動度,增強肌肉力量和動作的效率。
人體是一個協調系統,弧線和旋轉動力線透過運動實現順暢有效的連接。 Juliu Horvath 設計了一系列特殊設備來遵循這些自然運動路徑。其中GYROTONIC® Pulley Tower 是以鉛塊為阻力,但又和重訓器材不一樣,以間接輪軸拉動的方式來牽動阻力,巧妙地將阻力適時的轉換成助力和拉力,可針對個人體型與體能作調整,有助提高脊椎的活動度與整體的平衡。Pulley Tower 能提高脊椎的活動度,追求身體肌肉的協調平衡、活動關節、增加肌力。透過多面向、螺旋性的三維空間,在控制中又可以做到360度的動作。
